Have you tried all of the expensive face creams and masks to hide the appearance of wrinkles and lines?

Are you looking for a treatment that offers long term effects without the hassle of something like a facelift? As odd as it may sound, our team at Chelsea and Fulham Dentist can help!

At Chelsea and Fulham Dentist, our dental team is trained in a range of non-surgical facial aesthetics, including the ever-popular Botox in Fulham. Injected under the skin, Botox reduces the appearance of deeply set or fine wrinkles, creating a smoother, refreshed look.

Still not convinced? Want to learn a bit more about Botox in Fulham? Here, our team answers common questions that we receive about this anti-wrinkle treatment, so enjoy!

What facial areas can be treated with botulinum toxin injections?

Related to facial aesthetics, Botox in Fulham can be used to reduce the appearance of fine lines on the forehead, around the eyes (crows feet) and on the cheeks whilst minimising the appearance of lip lines. Our team can also use them to soften the appearance of dimpling or slim the appearance of the jaw.

Are the injections uncomfortable?

Whilst we cannot state openly whether you will feel discomfort after having these injections, we know from first-hand experience of applying them that they can feel similar to a bee sting or less.

Should you have any concerns about having them applied, we can numb the area beforehand so that there will be no sensation, and you can feel comfortable.

The injections are quick too, so you could even slot this treatment into your lunch break!

How soon will I see results?

As this treatment works by paralysing the nerves in the muscles, the effects aren’t immediate.

And whilst every patient is different, many people who have had the injections report noticing a difference in their wrinkles around 3-7 days after the injections have been administered.

This may differ based on the severity of the wrinkles, the area that the injections were applied to and, of course, the amount of solution that was used.

What age is best to start these injections?

You are never too old to receive this treatment!

However, some patients may wish to start reducing and minimising the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles in their late 20s or early 30s as this is when the body naturally begins to produce less hyaluronic acid, which deepens the appearance of wrinkles and allows new ones to form.

Based on your age at the time you begin, you are likely to see different results, and the longevity of the effects will differ too.

Are there any side effects?

As with any procedure that involves needles, there are likely to be side effects.

And with these injections, you may experience swelling, redness, tenderness, bruising and tingling around the injection site for a few days post-treatment, but this should naturally reduce.

If the bruising spreads or the sensation becomes too uncomfortable, we advise that you seek emergency medical treatment as you may be having an allergic reaction.
