How does Invisalign work?
Invisalign consists of plastic aligners that must be worn over the teeth like a gumshield. They will be made bespoke to fit your mouth using iTero technology, a digital scan that maps the measurements of your mouth precisely. From this scan, we can also generate a 3D animation of what your teeth will look like after treatment before you’ve even started it! When your aligners have been manufactured, we will provide you with 6 weeks’ worth to change between on a weekly basis. At the end of this period, you will then come and see us for a checkup and to receive the next 6 weeks’ worth of aligners. As you wear each set, they apply some pressure to your teeth to gradually push them into the desired positions.
